Campus Ambassadors

As our Campus Ambassador, you will make an impact in lots of ways: hosting drop-in sessions, giving lecture shout-outs, promoting us on social media through your university networks. You’ll essentially represent us at your university – be that virtually or face to face.

As you shed light on our opportunities for fellow students, you’ll also be creating opportunities for yourself.

You’ll have constant communication with our graduate recruitment team, giving you the chance to show us your personality and skills.

We hold assessment days during the spring of your first year so you're ready to start promoting us in your second year.

What it offers:

  • £600 plus all the training and support you need
  • Get fast-tracked to a vacation scheme assessment day
  • The chance to gain a better understanding of how a global law firm works
  • Great networking opportunities with our teams
  • Boost your skills in communication, leadership and problem solving – all things we look for in our future lawyers.

You’ll have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of how a global law firm works. You’ll have a campus ambassador induction day followed by regular catch-ups with your trainee mentor and the graduate recruitment team.

Being a Hogan Lovells campus ambassador allows you to get fast-tracked to a vacation scheme assessment day, too. You’ll also get one-on-one support on your application and preparing for your assessment day from our Senior Graduate Recruitment Manager.

We aim to recruit campus ambassadors at our target Universities which include Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Durham,
Exeter, Kent, KCL, Leicester, LSE, Nottingham, Oxford, Queen Mary, SOAS, UCL, Warwick.

  • We use the Watson-Glaser critical thinking test.
  • The online critical thinking tests assess how well you can absorb and analyse information.
  • They measure your ability to evaluate arguments, deductions, inferences, and conclusions.
  • They're good predictors of success in roles where you need to see things clearly from many angles and separate facts from assumptions.
  • To get a feel for the intellectual demands you'll experience from day one, you can take our practice test.
  • Be sure to read the feedback you receive as it will help you with the formal assessments.

We are committed to ensuring that our recruitment processes are fully inclusive and as barrier-free as possible. This includes making adjustments for candidates with disabilities or long-term health conditions. If you wish to discuss adjustments or issues at any stage of the recruitment process, please contact our Early Careers Recruitment team who will be happy to help you.

Some adjustments we have made in the past include (but are not limited to) providing extra time for reading and writing, different interview formats, extra time at interviews, and additional guidance and support, where appropriate, at each stage.

Yes.  We often invite candidates to take the Watson Glaser test and we screen candidates’ applications before the application deadline. We therefore, encourage applicants to apply to us as early as possible, but only after you have had enough time to thoroughly research the firm.
